良好的企業管治是任何機構得以持續成功的關鍵，亦是對公眾的一種責任。作為一個臨床研究的中央管理平台，港大臨床試驗中心對所有臨床研究持份者負責，包括臨床研究者及臨床研究人員、機構管理層、臨床研究申辦者、研究合作者、研究倫理委員會及法規單位、臨床研究參加者以及一般大眾。

自2002年起，港大臨床試驗中心已設立一個具廣泛代表性的管治架構，成員包括港大及醫院管理局港島西聯網的臨床研究專家。時至今日，港大臨床試驗中心的顧問委員會由12名委員組成，包括主席、港大醫學院院長及副院長（研究）、醫管局港島西聯網聯網總監、港大臨床試驗中心首席總監及執行總監、瑪麗醫院病理部部門主管、港大中醫藥學院總監、一名藥劑/藥理/臨床藥理專家、二名臨床研究者代表及最多二名增選委員。管治委員會定期舉行會議，以就臨床研究管治制定政策及討論重要事項，並監察港大臨床試驗中心的表現及發展。

Good corporate governance is the key to the continuous success of any organization and for public accountability. Being the central clinical study management platform, HKU-CTC is accountable to all clinical study stakeholders including clinical investigators and clinical research personnel, institutional management, clinical study sponsors, research collaborators, research ethics committees and regulatory authorities, as well as clinical study participants and the general public.

Since 2002, a proper governance structure with wide representation by clinical research experts of HKU and Hospital Authority Hong Kong West Cluster (HA HKW) has been set up for HKU-CTC. HKU-CTC’s Advisory Group (AG) now consists of 12 members including a Chairman; the Dean and Associate Dean (Research) of the HKU Medical Faculty; the Cluster Chief Executive of the HA HKW cluster; the Chief Director and Managing Director of HKU-CTC; the Chief of Service of the Department of Pathology of QMH; the Director of the HKU School of Chinese Medicine; an expert in pharmacy / pharmacology / clinical pharmacology; two clinical investigator representatives; and up two co-opted members. The AG holds regular meetings to formulate policies and discuss key issues related to the governance of clinical studies and to oversee the development and performance of HKU-CTC .
